Institute for Noble Maidens in the revolution was a closed institution. It gave education, aesthetic, ethical education, and the right to the position of the nobility and merchant nurturers of children. In institute took the girls of noble origin, and since 1852 also the daughters of honorable Kyiv and merchants of the first guild. Full course of education lasted 6 years. Institute teachers were mainly professors of Kyiv University.
