Arch «Friendship of Peoples» Kyiv

The central sight of Khreshchatyi Park is a sculptural composition with arch «Friendship of Peoples», which appeared in 1982 in preparation for the celebration of the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv, replacing summer stage.

Central in the composition is People's Friendship Monument dedicated reunification of Ukraine and Russia (A.P. Skoblikov sculptor, architects I.N. Ivanov, S.N. Mirgorodskii and K.A. Sidorov). It is made of metal, granite and bronze and is a two-figure composition (height - 6.2 m) working - Russian and Ukrainian, lifted up together with tape Order «Friendship of Peoples».
